2. References to the Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24th October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (which ceased to have effect on 25th May 2018) shall be construed as references to this Regulation. References to the Working Party on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data established by Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC shall be construed as references to the European Data Protection Board established by the EU GDPR (as defined in section 3 of the 2018 Act) [The definition of the EU GDPR is inserted into section 3 of the 2018 Act by these Regulations (see Sch. 2, para. 4(5)).].
