171. Professional indemnity insurance.
(1) A personal insolvency practitioner shall not carry on practice as a personal insolvency practitioner unless there is in force, at the time he or she so acts, a policy of professional indemnity insurance which meets such requirements as may be prescribed from time to time pursuant to subsection (2).
(2) The Insolvency Service may prescribe such matters as it considers necessary in relation to policies of professional indemnity insurance including the minimum amount of cover which shall apply in relation to each and every claim made against a personal insolvency practitioner.
