Interpretive Note to Recommendation 7 (Targeted financial sanctions related to proliferation)

A. Objective

1. Recommendation 7 requires countries to implement targeted financial sanctions [Recommendation 7 is focused on targeted financial sanctions. These include the specific restrictions set out in Security Council resolution 2231 (2015) (see Annex B paragraphs 6(c) and (d)).
