Regulation 3

In these Regulations, "certification" means the certification or consideration for certification, of any commodity, process or practice as conforming with any standard or specification and such other activities as are necessary or ancillary to such certification, including - (a) the performance of tests, analysis, audits or enquiries prior to the making of a decision on such certification, and (b) such activities, including tests, analysis, audits or enquiries, as are necessary to ensure that any such commodity, process or practice continues to meet any such standard or specification, where these matters are performed at the request of a client in return for a payment or consideration.
