(1) Regulation 2 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 [S.I. 2003/2426.] is amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (1), at the appropriate place, insert -

""consent" by a user or subscriber corresponds to the data subject's consent in the GDPR (as defined in section 3(10) of the Data Protection Act 2018);" [These regulations make a further amendment to this provision (see Sch. 3, para. 3).].

(3) Omit paragraph (3).
