Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The day on which the Treaties ["The Treaties" has the meaning given in section 20(5) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16).] are to cease to apply to the United Kingdom in accordance with Article 50(3) of the Treaty on European Union is different from that specified in the definition of "exit day" in section 20(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 [2018 c. 16. The definition of "exit day" in section 20(1) and (2) was amended by regulation 2 of S.I. 2019/718.].

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 20(4) of that Act [Paragraph 14 of Schedule 7 (procedure for regulations amending the definition of "exit day") to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) was amended by section 2 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2019 (c. 16).], makes the following Regulations.
