DO1 Mr Smith dissents from these Amendments to IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement - Fair Value Hedge Accounting for a Portfolio Hedge of Interest Rate Risk. He agrees with the objective of finding a macro hedging solution that would reduce systems demands without undermining the fundamental accounting principles related to derivative instruments and hedging activities.
