9.6. Multi-jurisdictional operations and supervisory co-operation on VASPs
9.6.1. Singapore
297. VASPs can operate across borders and establish relationships with customers in multiple jurisdiction fairly easily without the need for a physical presence in those countries. As a way to develop a better understanding of the global presence of VASPs applying for registration, several supervisors, such as Singapore have indicated that they specifically include a question requesting information on registrations or applications in other jurisdictions. This enables the supervisors to identify international counterparts that they may wish to reach out to better understand the risks involved.
