(1) Every registered proprietor of registered premises shall cause the certificate of registration or, where such registration has been renewed, the latest certificate of renewal of registration of those premises to be displayed prominently in the said premises at all times during which such premises are open for the transaction of business.
(2) Every registered proprietor who fails to comply with this section shall be guilty of an offence under this section and shall be liable on summary conviction thereof to a fine not exceeding ten pounds together with, in the case of a continuing offence, a further fine not exceeding €12 for every day during which the offence continues.
