1. Amendment of section 28 of Redundancy Payments Act, 1967.
Section 28 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967, which specifies the amount of weekly contributions to the Redundancy Fund, is hereby amended by the insertion after subsection (3) of the following new subsection:
"(3A) Notwithstanding anything in section 27 or this section of this Act, a redundancy contribution shall not be payable by an employed contributor (within the meaning of the Social Welfare Act, 1952) who is in receipt of a widow's (contributory) pension, a widow's (non-contributory) pension, deserted wife's benefit, a deserted wife's allowance or a social assistance allowance under section 8 of the Social Welfare Act, 1973.".
