"act of terrorism" has the same meaning as in the Terrorism Act 2000 (c. 11);
"chief officer of police" means- (a) in relation to any premises in England and Wales, the chief officer of police for the area in which the premises are situated; and (aa) in relation to any premises in Scotland, the chief constable of the Police Service of Scotland; and (b) in relation to any premises in Northern Ireland, the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland;
"dangerous substance" has the meaning given in section 58;
"direction" means a direction in writing;
"notice" means a notice in writing;
"occupier" includes a partnership or unincorporated association and, in relation to premises that are unoccupied, means any person entitled to occupy the premises;
"prescribed" means prescribed in regulations made by the Secretary of State; and
"relevant premises" has the meaning given in section 60.
