28. Disqualification of examiners.

(1) A person shall not be qualified to be appointed or act as an examiner of a company if he would not be qualified to act as its liquidator.

(2) A person who acts as examiner of a company while disqualified under this section shall be guilty of an offence, and shall be liable, on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding £1,500 and, on conviction on indictment, to a fine not exceeding £10,000.
