The FCA may conclude cooperation agreements on exchange of information with the supervisory authorities of third countries only if the information disclosed is subject to conditions for the protection of confidential information that are, at least, equivalent to those under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 [2000 c. 8.].
Such exchange of information shall be intended for the performance of the tasks of the FCA or those supervisory authorities.
Nothing in this Regulation is to be taken as authorising a disclosure of persona data in contravention of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data or of the Data Protection Act 2018.
