(1) An insurance intermediary shall ensure that all information provided to a customer in accordance with Regulation 19 is communicated to the customer -
(a) on paper or in some other durable medium that is accessible to the customer and
(b) in a clear and accurate manner, comprehensible to the customer;
(c) in a language agreed by the parties.
(2) Despite paragraph (1) (a), the intermediary shall provide orally the information required by Regulation 19 -
(a) whenever the customer asks for the information, or
(b) whenever immediate cover is needed.
In either event, the intermediary shall comply with paragraph (1) immediately after the relevant insurance contract is entered into.
(3) If an insurance intermediary uses telephone selling to sell an insurance product to a customer, the intermediary shall ensure that the information given to the customer complies with the European Communities (Distance Marketing of Consumer Financial Services) Regulations 2004 (S.I.
