59. Appointment of authorised officers.

(1) The Bank may appoint such of its employees, or other suitably qualified persons as it considers necessary to be authorised officers for the purposes of the Insurance Acts.

(2) The Bank shall provide each authorised officer with a warrant of appointment as an authorised officer.

(3) When exercising a power conferred by section 60, an authorised officer shall, if requested by any person affected, produce the warrant to that person.

(4) In this section "suitably qualified person" means a person (other than an employee of the Bank) who, in the opinion of the Bank, has the qualifications and experience necessary to exercise the powers conferred on authorised officers by the Insurance Acts.
