(1) The Authority or a person prescribed under section 33 may authorise such and so many persons as the Authority or person considers appropriate to be inspectors for the purposes of the enforcement of all or any of the relevant statutory provisions within the relevant area of responsibility in accordance with section 33 or 34, as the case may be.

(2)

(a) An inspector shall be furnished with a certificate of authorisation as an inspector.

(b) When exercising a power conferred on him or her by this section, an inspector shall, if requested by a person affected, produce the certificate of authorisation or a copy of it to that person and a form of personal identification.

(3) An authorisation under this section shall cease when the Authority or a person prescribed under section 33, as the case may be, revokes the authorisation.
