1. This Directive shall be kept under review in the light of international developments and efforts undertaken to achieve the long-term objectives of the Paris Agreement, and of any relevant commitments resulting from the Conferences of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
2. The measures to support certain energy-intensive industries that may be subject to carbon leakage referred to in Articles 10a and 10b of this Directive shall also be kept under review in the light of climate policy measures in other major economies. In this context, the Commission shall also consider whether measures in relation to the compensation of indirect costs should be further harmonised. The measures applicable to CBAM sectors shall be kept under review in light of the application of Regulation (EU) 2023/956.
