113. Service of notices

(1) This section has effect in relation to any notice, directions or other document required or authorised by or under any provision of this Act or by the rules of a friendly society to be served on any person other than the FCA or the PRA but subject, in the case of notices or other documents to be given or sent to members of a friendly society, to any provision of its rules.

(2) Any such document may be served on the person in question -

(a) by delivering it to him;

(b) by leaving it at his proper address;

(c) by sending it by post to him at that address; or

(d) by sending it by electronic means to an electronic address notified by the person for the purpose.

(3) Any such document may -

(a) in the case of a friendly society, be served on the secretary of the society;

(b) in the case of a body corporate (other than an incorporated friendly society), be served on the secretary or clerk of that body;

(c) in the case of a partnership, be served on any partner;

(d) in the case of an uninc
