8. Amendment of section 468 (relief for blind persons) of Principal Act.
As respects the year of assessment 1999-2000 and subsequent years of assessment, section 468 of the Principal Act is hereby amended in subsection (2) by the substitution of "£1,500" for "£1,000" (inserted by the Finance Act, 1998) in both places where it occurs and of "£3,000" for "£2,000" (as so inserted).
