Regulation 62

Equipment for HEAD PROTECTION

- Helmets and/or caps/balaclavas/headgears against:

- Impacts caused by falling or ejected object

- Collision with an obstacle

- Mechanical risks (perforation, abrasion)

- Static compression (lateral crushing)

- Thermal risks (fire, heat, cold, hot solids including molten metals)

- Electric shock and live working

- Chemical risks

- Non-ionizing radiation (UV, IR, solar or welding radiation)

- Where work involves the operation of an all-terrain vehicle, a protective helmet recommended by the all-terrain vehicle manufacturer, or designed for use with all-terrain vehicles in compliance with relevant European Community directives and European Union regulations regarding design and manufacture of personal protective equipment with respect to safety and health, said helmet to have a chin strap and to be capable of use with suitable eye protection
