64. Extension of section 53 to spouses or civil partner within the meaning of the Civil Partnership and Certain Rights and Obligations of Cohabitants Act 2010 and children.

Repealed from 1 June 2015

(1) For the purposes of section 53 -

(a) an interest of the spouse or civil partner within the meaning of the Civil Partnership and Certain Rights and Obligations of Cohabitants Act 2010 of a director or secretary of a company (not being himself or herself a director or secretary thereof) in shares or debentures shall be treated as being the director's or secretary's interest, and

(b) the same applies to an interest of a minor child of a director or secretary of a company (not being himself or herself a director or secretary thereof) in shares or debentures.

(2) For those purposes -

(a) a contract, assignment or right of subscription entered into, exercised or made by, or grant made to, the spouse or civil partner within the meaning of the Civil Partnership and Certain Rights and Obligations of Cohabitants Act 2010 of a director or secretary of a company (not being himself or herself a director or secretary thereof) shall be treated as having been entered into, exercised or made b
