(1) In this Act -

"the Agency" means the National Treasury Management Agency established by section 3;

"appointed member" means a member of the Agency appointed under section 3A(1)(a);

"the Chairperson" means the Chairperson of the Agency;

"the Chief Executive" means the chief executive officer of the Agency;

"the establishment day" means the day appointed by the Minister under section 2;

"functions" includes powers and duties and references to the performance of functions include as respects powers and duties, references to the exercise of the powers and the carrying out of the duties;

"local authority" has the same meaning as in the Local Government Act 2001;

"the Minister" means the Minister for Finance;
