97. Terms and conditions of Director

(1) Subject to subsection (2), the Director shall hold office for a term of 6 years and may be re-appointed for a second or subsequent term.

(2) The Director shall hold office on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Mental Health Commission, with the consent of the Minister given after consultation with the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, at the time of appointment or re-appointment.

(3) A person appointed to be Director shall be a member of the staff of the Mental Health Commission.
