(1) In these Regulations -

"Act of 1942" means the Central Bank Act 1942 (No. 22 of 1942);

"Bank" means the Central Bank of Ireland;

"CCP" has the meaning assigned to it by Regulation 3;

"CCP Recovery and Resolution Regulation" means Regulation (EU) 2021/23 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2020 on a framework for the recovery and resolution of central counterparties [OJ No. L 22, 22.01.2021, p. 1];

"ESMA" means the European Securities and Markets Authority established by Regulation (EU) No. 1095/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 [OJ No. L 331, 15.12.2010, p. 84];

"General Data Protection Regulation" means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 [OJ No. L 119, 4.5.2016, p.1] on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC;
