Section 2A (inserted by section 65 of the Act of 1998) of the Air Navigation and Transport Act, 1973, is amended -
(a) by the insertion after subsection (3) of the following subsection:
"(3A) Where an aircraft lands, on the territory of the State and a member of the Garda Sı'ocha'na has reason to believe that there is on board the aircraft a person who has committed an offence under this section, the member, together with any other members of the Garda Sı'ocha'na, may, without warrant, enter the aircraft and may, without warrant, arrest any such person whom he or she finds on the aircraft.",
and
(b) in subsection (4), by the substitution -
(i) in paragraph (a) for "£500" of "£1,500", and
(ii) in paragraph (b) for "£700" of "£1,500".
