(1) Sections 18, 21, 22, 32 (other than subsection (7)), 33, 34 and 35 shall, subject to subsection (3) and the modifications specified in subsection (2), apply to the grant of, or the refusal to grant, a renewal of an employment permit as they apply to the grant of, or the refusal to grant, an employment permit.

(2) The modifications mentioned in subsection (1) are -

(a) the omission of subsection (1)(b) from section 18,

(b) in respect of section 22, construing references to -

(i) the date of the application for an employment permit as references to the date of the application for the renewal of an employment permit, and

(ii) the person who made the offer of employment as references to the employer of the foreign national in respect of whom the application for the renewal of an employment permit is made,
