(1) A pawnbroker shall on taking a pledge in pawn give to the pawner a pawn-ticket and shall not take a pledge in pawn unless the pawner takes a pawn-ticket.
(2) A pawn ticket shall contain the particulars set out in the Third Schedule and it shall be signed by both the pawnbroker and the pawner.
(3) A pawnbroker who fails to comply with any requirement of this section shall be guilty of an offence.
