(1) Under the law of England and Wales or Northern Ireland an open-ended investment company may, by instrument executed as a deed, empower any person, either generally or in respect of any specified matters, as its attorney, to execute deeds on its behalf.
(2) A deed executed by such an attorney on behalf of the company has effect as if executed by the company.
