The following section is inserted after section 25B of the Principal Act:
"25C. Delegation of Commissioner’s functions.
The Commissioner may appoint in writing a member of the Garda Síochána, or members of a particular rank in the Garda Síochána, not below the rank of superintendent to perform any of the Commissioner’s functions under this Act.".
