36. Order for endorsement in case of conviction, disqualification order or removal of disqualification.

(a) Where a person is convicted of an offence and a consequential or ancillary disqualification order is made by the court on his conviction, the court shall by order direct particulars of the disqualification order to be endorsed on the driving licence held by such person or, if he is not the holder of a driving licence but subsequently a driving licence is granted to him, on that driving licence.

(b) Where a consequential or ancillary disqualification order is suspended pending an appeal, the relevant order under this subsection shall also stand suspended, but, upon the appellant having given notification in writing that he wishes to withdraw the appeal, the suspension of the order under this subsection shall be regarded as having terminated immediately before the day on which the notification was given.
