(1) The first form of wording set out in paragraph 4 of Schedule 2 and the closing balance shall be shown together as a whole and not interspersed with any other information or wording.
(2) For the purposes of this regulation -

(b) closing balance means, in relation to a statement required to be given under section 78(4) of the 1974 Act, the balance at the end of the period to which the statement relates which is required to be included in the statement under paragraph 1 of the Schedule to the Consumer Credit (Running-Account) Credit Information Regulations 1983 [S.I. 1983/1570.].
