12. Refusal to grant employment permit.

(1) The Minister may refuse to grant an employment permit if -

(a) the applicant for the permit (the "applicant") or has failed to provide any information, documents or evidence required by or under this Act in respect of the application within the period specified in regulations under section 29 has failed to provide any information required by or under this Act in respect of the application for the permit (the "application"),

(b) the applicant has failed to furnish the prescribed fee with the application,

(c) the foreign national or the person who made the offer of employment, or in the case of an application referred to -

(i) in section 4(2)(a), the contractor or the relevant person,

(ii) in section 4(2)(b), the connected person, or

(iii) in section 4(2)(c), the person party to the arrangement referred to in that section who made the application,

has been convicted of an offence under this Act, the Act of 2003, the Immigration Act 2004 or an enactment specified in Schedule 1, during
