4. Construction of references in other Acts to companies registered under the Companies (Consolidation) Act, 1908.

Notwithstanding subsection (1) of section 20 of the Interpretation Act, 1937, (which provides that where an Act repeals and re-enacts, with or without modification, any provisions of a former Act, references in any other Act to the provisions so repealed shall, unless the contrary intention appears, be construed as references to the provisions so re-enacted) references in any Act other than this Act to a company formed and registered, or registered, under the Companies (Consolidation) Act, 1908, shall, unless the contrary intention appears, be construed as references to a company formed and registered, or registered, under that Act or this Act.
