A person who commits an offence under these Regulations is liable - (a) on summary conviction, to a fine of up to €5,000 or imprisonment for up to 6 months, or both, or (b) on conviction on indictment, to a fine of up to €500,000 or imprisonment for up to 3 years, or both.
