Regulation 17 Effect of ADR procedures on limitation and prescription periods
(1) Where parties to a dispute attempt to settle the dispute, and have in respect of such attempt had recourse to ADR procedures which have an outcome that is not binding on the parties, the parties shall not be prevented from initiating judicial proceedings in relation to that dispute by virtue of the expiry, during the period in which the ADR procedure concerned took place, of a limitation period that applies to the dispute or to a prescription period.
(2) Paragraph (1) is without prejudice to limitation or prescription periods contained in an international agreement to which the State is a party.
