For the purposes of this Part, section 9 shall apply subject to the following and any other necessary modifications -
(a) a reference to -
(i) a competent authority, and
(ii) a competent authority in a designated state,
shall be construed as a reference to EPPO,
(b) in subsection (1), as if 'in accordance with the relevant international instrument and' was deleted,
(c) as if subsections (3) and (5) were deleted, and
(d) in subsection (4), as if the 'pursuant to the relevant international instrument' was deleted.
