For the purposes of this Part, section 27 shall apply subject to the following and any other necessary modifications -
(a) a reference to -
(i) a competent authority, and
(ii) a competent authority in a member state,
shall be construed as a reference to EPPO, and
(b) in subsection (1), as if the following paragraph were substituted for paragraph (d):
'(d) EPPO notifies the Minister accordingly.'.
