(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Insurance Acts and Regulations, health insurance contracts included in class 2 of Part A of Annex I to these Regulations which serve as a partial or complete alternative to health insurance cover provided by the statutory social security system shall comply with the general good requirements of the State.
(2) In this Article -
the "general good" includes a requirement that such insurance contracts referred to in sub-article (1) of this Article provide for open enrolment, community rating and lifetime cover, in accordance with any enactment for the time being in force.
