144. Conduct of proceedings.
Amendments (requiring commencement) by s. 88 of the Family Courts Act 2024 (No. 48), published 13 November 2024.
(1) Civil partnership law proceedings shall be as informal as is practicable and consistent with the administration of justice.
(2) A judge sitting to hear and determine civil partnership law proceedings, and a barrister or solicitor appearing in the proceedings, shall not wear a wig or a gown.
