(1) Having regard to its statutory function to promote the development of financial education and capability, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission shall promote measures that support the education of consumers in relation to responsible borrowing and debt management, in particular in relation to mortgage credit agreements.
(2) In addition to the preceding matters, the foregoing Commission shall, in conjunction with any other body it considers appropriate, ensure that clear and general information on the credit granting process is made available in order to guide consumers, especially those who take out a mortgage credit for the first time.
