Regulation 142 Amendment of European Communities (Electronic Money) Regulations 2011
The European Communities (Electronic Money) Regulations 2011 are amended -
(a) in Regulation 3(1) -
(i) by the insertion of the following definitions:
“ ‘account information service’ has the same meaning as it has in the Payment Services Regulations 2018;
‘Directive (EU) 2015/849’ means of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 May 2015 [OJ No. L 141, 5.6.2015, p. 73.] on the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering or terrorist financing, amending Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and repealing Directive 2005/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Directive 2006/70/EC;
‘European Banking Authority’ means the European Banking Authority established by Regulation (EU) 1093/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 [OJ No. L 331, 15.12.2010, p. 12.] establishing a European Supervisory Authority (European Banking Authority), amending Decision No 716/2009/EC and repealing Commission Decision 2009/78/EC;
‘payment initiation service’ has the same meaning as it has in the Payment Services Regulations;
‘payment service provider’ has the same meaning as it has in the Payment Services Regulations;
‘Regulation (EU) No 1093/2010’ means Regulation (EU) No 1093/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 establishing a European Supervisory Authority (European Banking Authority), amending Decision No 716/2009/EC and repealing Commission Decision 2009/78/EC [OJ No. L 331, 15.12.2010, p. 12.];
