181. Amendment of section 142 of Consumer Credit Act 1995
Section 142 of the Consumer Credit Act 1995 is amended -
(a) in subsection (2), by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (b):
"(b) which relates to information that constitutes personal data to which the Data Protection Regulation applies.",
(b) in subsection (4), by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (b):
"(b) which relates to information that constitutes personal data to which the Data Protection Regulation applies.",
and
(c) by the insertion of the following subsection after subsection (4):
"(5) In this section, 'Data Protection Regulation' means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 [OJ No. L 119, 4.5.2016, p.1] on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).".
