The Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 is amended -
(a) in section 2(1), by the insertion of the following definitions:
"'Data Protection Regulation' means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 [OJ No. L 119, 4.5.2016, p.1] on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);
'personal data' means personal data within the meaning of -
(i) the Data Protection Act 1988,
(ii) the Data Protection Regulation, or
(iii) Part 5 of the Data Protection Act 2018;",
(b) in section 52(2), by the deletion of "(within the meaning of the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003)", and
(c) in section 88(2), by the deletion of "(within the meaning of the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003)".
