(1) The Pensions Ombudsman may, for the purposes of an investigation by him under this Part, require any person who, in the opinion of the Pensions Ombudsman, is in possession of information, or has a document or thing in his power or control, that is relevant to the investigation to furnish that information, document or thing to the Pensions Ombudsman and, where appropriate, may require the person to attend before him for that purpose and the person shall comply with such a requirement.
(2) The Pensions Ombudsman shall, for the purposes of an investigation by him under this Part, have all the powers, rights and privileges vested in the High Court or a judge thereof on the hearing of an action in respect of the examination of witnesses (including the administration of oaths and affirmations and the examination of witnesses abroad).
(3) Subject to the provisions of this Part, a person to whom a requirement is addressed under this section shall be entitled to the same immunities and
