(1) A notice or other document that is required or permitted, under this Act, to be served on or given to a person shall be addressed to the person by name and may be served or given to the person in one of the following ways:
(a) by delivering it to the person;
(b) by leaving it at the address at which the person ordinarily resides or carries on business;
(c) by sending it by post in a pre-paid registered letter to the address at which the person ordinarily resides or carries on business;
(d) if an address for service has been furnished, by leaving it at, or sending it by post in a pre-paid registered letter to, that address;
(e) in the case of a direction to an individual or body (whether incorporated or unincorporated) under Part 3 not to carry out any specified service or transaction at a branch or place of business of the body or individual, by leaving it at, or by sending it by post in a pre-paid registered letter to, the address of the branch or place of business (as the case ma
