Article 3 The principal repeals and revocations

(1) The following enactments are repealed -

(a) the Policyholders Protection Act 1975 [1975 c. 75.];

(b) the Insurance Companies Act 1982 [1982 c. 50.];

(c) the Financial Services Act 1986 [1986 c. 60.];

(d) the Banking Act 1987 [1987 c. 22.];

(e) the Insurance Companies (Reserves) Act 1995 [1995 c. 29.]; and

(f) the Policyholders Protection Act 1997 [1997 c. 18.].

(2) The following instruments are revoked -

(a) the Banking Co-ordination (Second Council Directive) Regulations 1992 [S.I. 1992/3218; amended by the Bank of England Act 1998 (c. 11), Schedule 5 and by S.I. 1993/3225; S.I. 1995/1217; S.I. 1995/1442; S.I. 1996/1669; S.I. 1999/2094 and S.I. 2000/2952.];

(b) the Insurance Companies (Third Insurance Directives) Regulations 1994 [S.I. 1994/1696.]; and

(c) the Investment Services Regulations 1995 [S.I. 1995/3275; amended by the Bank of England Act 1998 (c. 11), Schedule 5 and by S.I. 1996/1669 and S.I. 2000/2952.].
